My version of the "Parable of the Great Banquet" is that we have an obligation to invite guests until the tables are full.
It is my hope that we not only fill the tables, but start a waiting list for the fall weekends. (An impossible task for us, but not for God). ?It's not too late. It's the finest spiritual Banquet anyone can attend. Bring a potential guest tomorrow to the Gathering. Introduce them to a few members and witness God's power to fill the tables he has prepared for them.

1. From start point go to Hwy 385W and head to Millington.
2. Hwy 385 intersects with Hwy 51 just south of Millington. Go 51 north (right), through Millington to Munford. Garmin might tell you to turn on Hwy 178, but do not turn. Go to 2nd red light.
3. At 2nd red light in Munford, turn left (Hwy 206N) on Munford Ave. (Exxon station on right.)
4. Follow Munford Ave. into town about (? mile and watch carefully) until you get to Beaver Road, turn right. You will see Corner Tobacco on right and BP gas station on left. (If you go into downtown Munford and come to a Hwy 178 sign, you have gone too far.)
5. Follow Beaver Road to a stop sign. You will drive into the country 4.0 miles until you get to a stop sign. The intersection will be a 3-way stop with one road diagonally from your right. Crossroad Baptist Church will be on your left at the intersection. You will see a sign for Rose of Sharon, 0.6 miles.
6. Turn left (west) at the stop sign on to Holly Grove Road and you go a few hundred yards until you see a small church on right.
7. Turn right at the church on to Candy Lane and proceed about .5 mile to Rose Lane at Rose of Sharon Campground, on your left.

MID-SOUTH GREAT BANQUET NEWS
MSGB #50 has great reason for celebration and praise concerning this upcoming weekend. We have 34 men attending this weekend.
Yes we wanted 35 men to attend but something even more powerful happened in the lives of 3 men who were on our prayer list. In this terrible economy many people are losing their jobs and struggling with finding a way to survive and support their families. 3 men now have jobs that were without jobs when they registered for the weekend.
We give God all glory. There is no way to feel sad about these men not being able to attend. We can celebrate that God Almighty knows and cares for ALL our needs.
Praise God for the large group we have coming. Let's join together in support of this weekend by attending as many services as possible.

SUGGESTIONS FOR: Praying the Prayer Vigil
Begin by asking God to clear your mind of all outside distractions. Place all of your thoughts and your spirit with the people and the event you have come to Him to bless.
Be silent for a few seconds and begin to feel His presence with you. Pray as if you are talking to your best friend...you are! Ask Him to bless with His spirit the buildings, grounds and all things used to bring those present to an awareness of Him.
Pray for the lay director, if not by name, by duty. He/she must walk in His spirit for anything that they may be called upon to solve.
Pray for the assistant lay directors in much the same way.
Pray for the spiritual directors that they may truly be an instrument of His spirit.
Pray for the board representatives that he/she may have the courage to keep the purity of the event.
Pray for the speakers. Pray that they remember Whom they represent, that they lay down self and glorify God.
Pray for the talks, the message each is to give, for the giver and for each person who hears, that they may hear according to their need.
Pray for the Agape team as they labor endlessly, meeting the needs of all attending.
Pray for the musicians, that their music may bring God's message, and soothe troubled souls.
Pray for the Guests:
The ones who cannot leave their thoughts behind.
The ones uneasy in the setting.
The ones who cannot sleep.
The ones forced to come.
The ones looking for magic, not miracles.
The ones who are open and receiving.
For all the conditions known to God.
Pray for the cooks and all who minister in unrecognized ways.
Pray for the fun and fellowship that will warm hearts and keep the focus on God.
Pray for the team assistants that they do not tire. Pray for their renewed strength.
Pray for all of the agape gifts, for the hands that made them, and the blessing they bring.
Pray for the special times such as: chapel, candlelight, closing, etc.
And lastly, give it all to our Lord and Friend, who sees and knows, asking for His blessing and presence with everyone connected - not only those mentioned, but families, and the change for the church and community.
End by praising and thanking God for the opportunity He has given you to talk to Him on behalf of His children. AMEN

My name is Mike Karel, Midsouth Great Banquet 50 table of Peter.
I just got home last night from the Banquet. I had a good time and I am glad
that I finally went. I did grow in my walk with the Lord.
My Prayer request is this: tomarrow I am having a cat scan done to see if a
bump on my back in cancer. My cat scan is at 8:00am.
If anyone has the time at 8:00am to say a short prayer for my results, I
would appreciate it.

Please pray for my grandma, Doris Salstead. For the past several years she has suffered from pulmonary fibrosis among other things and hasn't been faring well. Last night around 2am she fell and split her head. She has lost a lot of blood and because of her religion they cannot give her blood. The doctors aren't hopeful. Please pray for God to make his presence known to her and if its not in his will to heal her then to take her home where there is no more sickness or pain.
